"I tried moving my number over to..."
I tried moving my number over to uscellular, and it ended up getting stuck for several days. I kept checking my phone, restarting it, and looking for any sign that it had gone through, but nothing changed. Support mostly just told me to wait each time, which got old fast. It was frustrating, especially over something as basic as keeping the same number. i wouldn’t want to deal with that again...
"The extra surcharges are frustrating. I don’t..."
The extra surcharges are frustrating. I don’t love seeing them added on. The service fees seem fair, though. So it’s not all bad.

"The plans just feel really inflexible. I ended..."
The plans just feel really inflexible. I ended up feeling stuck, and it seems like you have to pay a lot more just to get anything that actually fits what you need

"Honestly, 5G is good when it actually shows up"
It works well when I can get 5G, but it does drop off once I’m outside of town sometimes. Not a huge deal, just a little frustrating

"Hotspot let me down when I really needed it"
The phone service itself has been okay, but the hotspot has been a headache. I still remember sitting there trying to get work done, watching pages half-load and then the connection just drop, even though I had a decent signal. It’s really frustrating in the moment because you’re already stressed and just need it to work. For regular phone use it’s fine, but if you’re counting on the hotspot for work, I wouldn’t feel great relying on it

"Roaming Was a Letdown"
I had a rough time with international roaming on my trip. The data kept cutting out randomly, and a bunch of my calls either failed or dropped halfway through, which was super frustrating when I was trying to figure out directions or message people. I even ended up relying on café Wi-Fi way more than expected, which wasn’t the plan, though I did find one place with amazing pastries, so there’s that. Support took longer than I hoped to respond, and by then I’d already wasted a lot of time dealing with it. For what the extra roaming charges cost, it really didn’t feel worth it...

"Helpful updates while my service was out"
In my experience, the outage in my area was definitely frustrating, but I thought the communication was solid. The text updates and info on the site made it easier to understand what was happening and when things might be fixed. It did take a while, which was annoying, but overall I felt like they did a decent job keeping me in the loop

"Always acting up when I need it"
I swear the US Cellular app gives me problems every time I’m trying to do something quick. I’ll be rushing to check my bill or make a payment, and then it either won’t load, freezes, or randomly logs me out. Even after I make a payment, it takes forever to show up, which just makes it more stressful. I tried deleting and reinstalling it, but nothing really changed. For a phone company, you’d think the app would work better. Most of the time I just give up and use the website instead.

"Signal is decent, but not perfect"
Signal works fine for me most of the time, so I can’t really complain too much. That said, it does drop in certain spots, which gets frustrating when I actually need it. Overall, it’s okay, just a bit hit or miss depending on where I am.

"A bit hit or miss getting started"
It did end up working, but the activation took longer than I expected and the setup was kind of a hassle. Once it was finally going, it was fine, but the whole start-up experience felt hit or miss.
"Help took a bit"
It took a while to get help, but someone did eventually sort it out.

"I’m kind of in a rush..."
I’m kind of in a rush, but the call quality has been really good for me. Everywhere I’ve used it, calls have sounded clear with no real issues.

"Ordering Online Was Actually Easy"
I ordered my phone online it was a smooth experience overall. The shipping did take a little longer than I expected, which was kind of annoying, but getting everything set up was easy once it arrived. Nothing too complicated or stressful. I’d DEFINITELY use it again

"The upgrade took way longer than I..."
The upgrade took way longer than I expected. I had to call twice just to figure out what was going on, and even after that, I’m still kind of confused?!

"Works well out here"
I’m out in a rural area, and uscellular has been better here than a couple other carriers I’ve tried. There’s still one road near my house where I usually hit a dead spot, which is annoying, but most of the time my calls go through and data works fine. It’s not flawless, but for country coverage it’s been solid enough.

"Roaming actually worked when I needed it"
I was kind of surprised, but the roaming signal worked in spots where my old phone would usually just give up. Like, I actually had service when I needed it, which was really nice.

"Trade-in felt a little underwhelming"
My snap judgment: UScellular was fine overall, but the trade-in offer for my old phone felt lower than I expected. The process itself wasn’t too hard, so I’ll give them that, but I walked away feeling like the value could’ve been a bit more fair. Not a bad experience, just not exactly impressive either.

"Usually fine, but last bill made me double-check"
My U.S. Cellular bill is usually accurate, but the most recent one had a small charge I wasn’t expecting, so now I’m a little more skeptical. I’ve had this happen a couple times before too. Customer service fixed one of them quickly, but the other took longer to explain than I thought it should. It’s not a huge deal, but after the last bill, I definitely look everything over before I pay.

"Pricing ended up being a nice surprise"
I switched to U.S. Cellular mostly because the plan was cheaper than what I had before, and the price has been better than I expected. The bill is easy enough to read too, and so far I haven’t had any weird surprise charges pop up.
It’s probably not the absolute cheapest option out there, but for what we’re getting, it feels fair. I do wish I had switched sooner, but that was mostly bad timing on my part. Overall, I’m happy with it

"Canceling really shouldn’t be this hard"
Canceling took way too long. It felt way more complicated than it needed to be, and I was frustrated by the end
